Why you don’t want to miss this course

According to one of the worlds leading innovation researchers, Paul Paulus, idea generation sessions perform best when there is a trained facilitator that can guide the innovators. As a facilitator you want to get your group to target the correct problem/opportunity, generate creative ideas, avoid fruitless discussions and choose without bias. This is not easily done without the right training and methods.

Pollen has for several years been giving company-specific training for Innovation Facilitation. Our results are outstanding and now for the first time, we are opening up these training for you to participate.

What to expect

During the course we will employ a learning-by-doing approach, where everything you learn in theory will be tested in practice AND reflected upon. In addition we will use improvised role playing and experimentation for you to learn as much as possible during these two intense days.

The course includes:

  • How to scope an innovation challenge

  • Methods and tools to generate ideas

  • Effective ways to select the best ideas

  • How to recognize creative and non-creative behaviors and how to respond to these

  • What qualities and skills are important to look for when selecting participants to your workshops

  • Theory and research on creative behaviors

  • How to get your participants engaged, focused, creative and energetic

  • How to handle tricky situations i.e. dealing with lack of creative self-confidence or people getting frustrated

  • What specific skills and behaviors you as a facilitator should emphasize and work on to excel

Meet your coach

This is Jens, Pollen's own psychologist and your coach for these 2 days. Listen to what he has to say about the course:

"The innovation facilitation training I took part of with Pollen in 2016 was a real turn in my career. Although I had started to facilitate some workshops within the group I was part of, the course really supported me to get more understanding regarding the structure of the process and to go deeply in the psychological concerns regarding sponsors and participants of a creative workshop. The experience and energy of the Pollen trainers are of great help to understand and experiment all the aspects of the creative facilitation from the trickiest to the more exciting."
